Eurosonic Noorderslag ticket pre-sales and new Dutch acts

On Saturday 27th November at 10 a.m. (CET) ticket pre-sales start for Eurosonic Noorderslag 2011. From that moment on tickets for the festivals Eurosonic (12, 13 & 14 January) and/or Noorderslag (15 January) can be bought from Ticket Service, The Netherlands: http://www.ticketservice.nl. The 2010 festival sold out in record time of 1 day.

Eurosonic Noorderslag announce new Dutch names for the upcoming anniversary edition. For ‘Dutch Impact’, the focus on the Dutch music scene during Eurosonic, the following acts have been added to the line-up: Alamo Race Track, Antillectual, Blaudzun, Daily Bread, De Staat, Death Letters, Eklin, My Favorite Scar, Paceshifters and Wende. The Noorderslag program has also expanded with 30 new names, such as A Silent Express, Baskerville (Live), Beans & Fatback, Kleine Viezerik, Lilian Hak, The Opposites, Palmbomen, Sef, Skip & Die and The Tunes. Ticket pre-sales
Tickets for Eurosonic and/or Noorderslag (conference not included) are available from Saturday 27th November at 10 a.m. (CET) onwards through the official sales channels of Ticketservice The Netherlands: http://www.ticketservice.nl, at De Oosterpoort, larger post offices, all Plato recordstores, Free Record Shop and the VVV (tourist information).

There are different types of tickets for the festival in Groningen:
– Eurosonic (European showcase festival), 12, 13 & 14 January, different venues: €50
– Noorderslag (main barometer for Dutch popmusic), 15 January, De Oosterpoort: €50
– Eurosonic and Noorderslag 4 night ticket (12 until 15 January): €90 (conference not included)
– Special ticket for 12 January (warming up night with several shows), small number of venues in the city-centre: €5.
All prices exclude service charges.

Eurosonic Noorderslag takes place from Wednesday 12th January until Saturday 15th January 2011 and is Europe’s leading conference and showcase festival. Organisers expect 2800 professionals from the European music industry and thousands of festival goers to see performances by more than 260 Dutch and European artists in over 30 different venues. The festival starts a day earlier this year. On Wednesday 12th January Eurosonic warms up in a few venues in the city-centre of Groningen. The European Festival Awards, presented by Yourope and Virtual Festivals Europe (tickets for festivals and promotors only) and the European Border Breakers Awards (invitation only) are also presented on the first festival night.
