Tips & Tricks
For me hardware works best, because I can try some things and experiment with them. Using software you always have to know quite exactly, what you want to do and have to programm it that way. As I am not a musician or a studio-nerd, it works the best for me like that. But well, everyone has to find out himself what works best for him.

Biography Savas Pascalidis
Berlin-based powerhouse Savas Pascalidis continues to innovate and move floors in the 21st century with the skill, purist sensibility, and raw musical force that only 20+ years of slaughtering rooms and breaking barriers can bestow upon a DJ. His supernatural productions, spanning decades and a veritable who’s-who of legendary dance imprints have cemented his reputation as one of the driving forces in European techno.

Savas started his career as a House/Disco DJ in southern Germany in the 80’s. He became a resident in the most influential and forward-looking clubs of Germany at the time. Later he hosted Stuttgart’s first techno nights in 1990/91, pioneering a sound that would dominate floors all over europe for decades to come. During the 90`s, Pascalidis was very well known for his Minimal, Detroit, House, Techno and Rave Sets.

In 1999 he founded his own record label Lasergun Records, the perfect platform for his special brand of futuristic funked out and stripped down techy disco grooves. His distinctive work using analogue hardware and addictive baselines, as well as references to 70’s and 80’s music through to Electro, House and Techno, became an overnight sensation.

This season’s must-haves from Savas include the release of his sultry “Deep Inside Ur Eyes” track on his new label ‘Sweatshop’.. Hot off the heels of the amazing ‘SPC C’ release on Berghain resident Len Faki’s new Figure SPC imprint (a heavy 4 tracker that is guaranteed to whip floors into a frenzy), plus debuting the new Sweatshop label, to critical acclaim, 2009 looks to be a massive year for this god of groove.
